I just bought this:

...a 250 Sahara.

I keep reading that people are alot happier with certain aftermarket mods.

So and advice would be most appreciated.

congrads on the buggy, most people start out with the cvt mods for better low end power. then move up to exhaust and air upgrades, then coil and cdi.

What is 'cdi'?

And where's a good place to buy these parts?

its the igniton control module, it is like an electronic igntion on a car. the signal goes from the pick up coil, to the cdi, the cdi tells the coil when to fire. If I remember that right.

it can adjust the rpm, and advance the timing a tad

CVT mods really wake up the Kinroad machines. I have customers that really saw a big difference when the mods were installed.

17-18 gram sliders
Torque spring

For the CVT.

Take off the stock air box and add a K&N or UNI filter and rejet the carb. You may need to modify the exhaust to get the best results for the Air filter/carb mod.

CDI and hot coil will help also.

Glade

Mauleed, congrats!!! Please, update your profile and let us know where you are from, and we can help you located a dealer close to you. Just like Glade says, the sliders or rollers swap, a good intake, some exhuast modification, and tuning the carb will make that beasty moooooove!!!

Good luck and welcome aboard!!!

No idea how to update my profile, but I'll figure it out.

I'm from South Jersey, NJ, near Philadelphia.

Waiting for admin approval to join now.

Another quick question: what sort of helmets are best for a buggy? Does it matter?
