I have an 07 HH250SS. I am losing oil from somewhere near the front of the engine. I have found, what I believe is the crankcase breather tube, full of oil on 2 occassions. It is possible that the oil on front of the engine is coming from this tube as well. What would cause this and how do I fix it? I also have a couple of questions about the fuel system hoses. I have a clear tube coming from the bottom of the carb and goes to no where. Is this normal? If not, where should this tube lead to? My owners manual does not show this tube. The owners manual does show a vacuum tube coming from the bottom of the fuel shutoff valve but my kart does not have this tube? Any thoughts on why the manual shows a tube but my kart does not have one? Thanks for your help!
I would imagine the clear tube on the bottom of your carb is
a drain tube. See if there is a flat tip screw head above it. If
so, that's where you drain the fuel out of the bowel before
removing your carb to take apart and clean. I just took the tube off of my Sahara. The oil building up in the crank case
vent tube on top of your valve cover is normal to a degree. You
may want to raise it upward and locktie it off somewhere on the
engine carriage. It would'nt hurt to get a small crankcase vent
filter and put on it also. If you're getting alot of oil comming
out of that tube, your rings may be sticking and allowing oil to
pass by in the cylinder. Im not the greatest expert and Im sure
there are alot of people on here that can help you alot better than me. but that's my 2 cents worth. good luck. _________________ Kinroad Sahara 150,chrome intake

We use a few Xinling (CN250) buggies and they used oil like we were oil company share holders. The main culprit is ring wear alowing pressure from the combustion chamber into the crankcase and this in turn blows oil out via the breathers, one on the top of the alternator cover and one on the valve cover on top.
The clear tube on the carbs float bowl is a drain tube as discribed above. _________________ There is no such thing as "just a car".
I have a newer Kazuma 150cc buggy that started blowing oil out of the breather on the valve cover. I shut off the buggy and now it will not start. Any ideas.
I.A.´s as we call them in the forces.
After checking `kill switch´is off, (Oh so many don´t)
1, Check for spark at plug lead, (unscrew plug cap and hold 2mm from chassis)
2, Have spark at lead, remove plug and check for gap / fouling, no spark possible loose connection on HT coil or burnt out trigger coil.
3, Have good plug and spark, check fuel flow. (vac tap) remove fuel ine from carb, remove vacune pipe from manifold, SUCK on vac tube, does fuel flow? If yes reassemble. if not faulty tap, replace
4, Check valve clearences, usually in the region of .06mm in and .08mm ex
If yes, is the float stuck or jets blocked, remove carb and check.
In dusty condition check air filter weekly. _________________ There is no such thing as "just a car".
