In a crappy economy it's the good dealers like Eric, Glade, etc that survive and the ones with poor people skills or poor biz practices that fail.
I recently went to a big outdoor antique market. Nice day but attendance was very low, despite this being the last of only 2 held each year. As I entered one booth I overheard the owner complain to his neighbor booth that everybody is looking but nobody is buying anything thanks to the economy. He had a cabinet I wanted and I offered him about 20% less than the marked price. He stood firm on his price so I walked. So he wants to hit a home run on the one visitor with cash in hand? Not gonna be me...
(I returned later and made the same offer to his wife & she gladly accepted it) _________________ _________________

I was shopping around for a kart we wher going to buy 2 and guy hardly gave me the time of day. So ended up plunking the money down on 2 hammerhead 250s and very happy with the customer service.
Steeda,
I must aggree I have been dealing with Hammerhead Canada in Edmonton and their customer service has been good (once I finially got a hold of someone)(I'm in Shilo, MB and the nearest dealer is in Kanora... Hopefully there will be a dealer in MB sometime soon... Maybe even Brandon (only 20 Mins away).
But back to the point Bill from HH Canada seems like a good guy and I can't wait until my HH arrives (pending funding) hopefully should find out tomorrow if I was approved or not. _________________ - Soon Hopefully a Hammerhead 250 SS

I agree completely.... there's bound to be a few bad apples, I've just had really bad luck finding any kind of support here in Canada. All of my parts are now getting shipped to me from 2689 miles away in Georgia (with the exception of a new clutch I waited over 3 months for from Edmonton). BigE you've been a life-saver. Ok...buggy-saver at least. I was seriously considering dumping this cart on the highest bidder until I found this site, and helpful companies like McDonough. (still a bit peaved that some companies point-blank refuse to ship to Canada... regardless of whose paying the shipping. I really didn't care what shipping cost-within reason-I just needed some damn parts!!!!!)
I did get my brake cable Steeda... off ebay in California. Same as my brake pads, and a few other odds and ends.
I'm already saving up for a 250 upgrade... but I won't make the same mistake twice... I'm doing a lot more research on who is willing to help and who isn't. Dealers need to consider that if I get good service and advice on a $10 set of rollers... you might be at the top of the list when I'm looking for a $5000 buggy. _________________ 05' Carter Talon GSX 150 2R
