I have a Hurricane 250(gk-o6) and was wondering what to do if anything to the exhaust. It comes off the motor about 15inches to a larger diameter portion about 5in long (lookes like a snake a a rat) what is this? Then another foot or so to the muffler. Muffler inside is straight through but is baffled with what looks like really heavy grade steel wool. Should I mess with it for better exhaust flow or leave it alone? I plan on replaceing entire intake and filter and rejetting but exhaust seems pretty free to me. Also would like to know the best roller and spring combo for acceleration without sacraficing top end.(not super fast anyway 28-35mph)
Also I know that there are a lot of dealers on here so I was wondering who has had good luck with what dealers as far as fair price and good all around people.

Thank you for any information.

if you do a search on here, awhile back somebody else had an exhaust like that. Best I remember it had something to do with emissions. Some pictures of your muffler would help. You can drill some holes in the pipe inside the muffler for more flow. I haven't seen one quite like your describing. There are some pictures on here somewhere also.

Here's a thread on 250 rollers and spring.

Any of the dealers on here will take good care of you.

sounds like that is where they put the catalitic converter for emissions, if you put a 2 inch uni filter straight on the carb, rejet.

as far as the cvt goes you can go with rollers or sliders, the sliders help retain top speed while giving more bottom end. you can change the main spring and the clutch springs also.
