yep been here before. i had a 1971 pro street chevy vega we drove to Quacker City Dragway on pump gas and ran consistant 11.80s at 132mph and even after people would stand there and watch me do it they would still say no way. Then there was the guys who would cry and say that the car shouldnt have been in the SL lanes because it ran faster than some of the TOWING QUEENS cars that ran pro and super pro. Im not even going to argue about it "YOUR RIGHT AND IM WRONG" its kinda funny though that with very little mods on my carbide we have it running over 60 mph and there is a guy 2 blocks over from me >and this is the guy who told me about your site and got me into buggys after seeing how fast he got his going< that has his going up to 70 mph on blacktop!!! if you guys know so much about these carts then you already know how to remove the gvnr to let the engine wind out on the top side and run the full 10,000 rpms that these engines are good for.

My 125cc is running 33mph at 9800 rpms with a 37 tooth sprocket. I could change the gearing but it would take some SERIOUS mods to get enough HP to push it to those speeds. _________________ 05 Jehm Adventure Buggy 250cc, Torque Spring, 22.5gr Rollers, Modified Roll Cage, K&N, 21x7x10 & 22x11x10 Trac Star Radials, Vapor, Body Panels, 40T Spkt

No, I don't know how to remove the governor but I sure would like to try. i remember my brother have a Honda spree in the late 80's, which did approx. 30mph and a friend tinkered with it, I have no idea what he did. After that you would run it at full speed then all of a sudden the engine would start screaming and bury the speedo at 45mph. Those Honda were 50cc's. So Redvega, tell us I'm sure I'm not the only one that would give it a try.
