I have a two carts a sunl slgk-150b, and a manco xtk-710e. My kids and I, do mainly flat trail riding and I was wanting to increase the power on both. I just got the manco and it seems alot slower and has less pickup than my other. It is suppossed to be a 266cc engine compared to my 150cc. I am open to any suggestions on aftermarket upgrades or simple changes as I have no clue about these motors or carts. Please feel free to make any and all comments on either machine good or bad. Thanks Joe

Not familiar with your karts... but if they have similar engines and transmissions to the others on here, the mods are fairly simple. (I'm a dummy with machines...and even I could do it!) Lighter rollers in the variator and a stiffer torque spring for the clutch will turn your karts into rockets. (and they're really inexpensive) Keep in mind, lighter weights will improve take-off a bit and help bottom end, but you may lose a few mph top end (not much though). The karts will wind up a lot quicker and won't feel so sluggish.

i'm running the sunl 150b with a few cheap mods they will run pretty good.
10gram rollers
1500 torque spring
drill out exhaust or gut it
uni-filter
rejet carb
the 39 tooth sprocket and add a couple links to your chain.
if your buggy is like mine with 22'' rear tires the sprocket just sets off the rest of the mods and helps turning over those 22'' tires, you will add 8 more teeth to axle sprocket.puts your sprocket gearing down lower for better take off and getting up hills.
you will loose 2 to 3mph on top speed but thats never been a problem for me.
not sure what to tell you on the manco but i'm sure there can be something done to make it more trail able.
good luck on your mods

Thanks for the info, I will look into purchasing the items for both carts, I will have to spend some time looking thru the posts on here to figure out the how to dos and where to find the items. Here in Corpus there isn't anywhere I can go to get upgrades. I am looking forward to getting more info on fixing up my carts.

FF JOE give ric duncan a pm he is out your way don't know how close he is to you but he is a dealer here.i know he has uni-filter with intake pipe already set up and 10 gram rollers.
on the rest of the performance things he might know a place close.
he has helped me out a few times with my sunl and has some stock parts that will fit the sunl like belts, coils, cdi's and other things.
all the dealers here are good to help and help you set your buggy up for trail riding, good place to be.

FF Joe,

Start with the easiest things first.
Replace your stock air box with a Uni Filter and intake. Then possibly drill or gut out your exhaust. Once you do these two you will need to change the jet in the carb. This will get the motor running a little better/cooler. All of this is simple and cheap.
The second thing to do is what Mike was talking about. Changing out some of the parts within the CVT set-up. These will make the bigest change in power.
Go to this section and read some of the main threads labeled "Sticky". They will cover everything you are looking for. Plenty of info, instructions and comments. Make sure to keep asking, this site has some amazing people that are always willing to help.

Have fun and keep us posted!!!

try uploading your photos to a place like .... photobucket.com it is much easier. and it's free!. some pics need to be resized inorder to upload directly from your PC.
