Hey all just recieved my 250 hurricane buggy 2 days ago. Besides some minor paint blemishes It looks really well built and a solid buggy. I put everything together changed all fluids and fired her up. Started right away and idles perfect.(Hot or cold) The problem is that I can only get up to 5 or 6 mph and no matter how much or little gas I give it, she will just bog down almost like too much fuel. The more I step on it the worse it is. Checked carb jets and plug. Both are perfect. Idles smooth as can be but will not rev in N or D. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Supposed to go riding with buddies in morning. Thank you.
just found this post. I take it you got it running okay? _________________ Steele's Powersports

Steelbilly Not renning right yet. However now I have it running perfect with just the intake elbow on.(about 15 inches in a u shape and no filter. Wide open.) What I now am confused about is that the plug looked a little on the lean side to me but after freeing up intake it runs 100x better. Does this make any sense to you?
Thanks alot for any info. And no I didnt get to ride last weekend. Boo Hoo for me.
does the intake have a snorkel? those tend to give people fits sometimes. Are you wanting to put the stock filter back on or upgrade to an uni? _________________ Steele's Powersports

Buggy has what I could call a snorkal. It has a oblong tube about 8-10 long parallel to ground and then feeds into the box that houses the filter then goes to a elbo about 15 inches long in the shape of a u to the carb. Why is intake and filter the same size as motor?lol
