Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for some outstanding advice. I was scared to change any parts at first (I'm definitely not a mechanic), but had no choice since I live in the mountains, and couldnt even get over a speed bump with my stock Talon GSX150.
First, changed my 32t rear sprocket to 39t... then changed my 14g rollers to 9.5g sliders (= 7.5g rollers I'm told), and so far that's it for mods. The result?
Holy crap guys... I was expecting a bit more torque, but my tires spun right out of the driveway, and I needed to tighten my seatbelt. I lost some top end, but I can literally climb a 45 degree slope and see rocks flying behind me now. It's amazing... and so far, cost less then $100.
Now, I'm waiting on a yellow main clutch spring to go with my new DrP clutch, new coil and plug, and will eventually be adding a UNI, poking a few holes in the exhaust and rejetting.
So the moral of my story.... if you think you're satisfied with stock..
think again.
It's cheap, it's easy, and my little buggy is now a monster that can literally climb a mountain. (up to 7000' elevation so far...) and still top out around 40mph. Awesome.
Glad to here you got what you were looking for...no more pushing it up those hills Sounds like you have a little hill climbing machine now. The rollers and main spring really made a big difference for me as well. Dont under estimate the 150's.
How was it changing that sprocket? Also...did you ever get your tail/brake light to work?
Another big hand to everyone on BUGGYNEWS!!!! _________________ Baja Dune 150

Awesome as far as sliders being 2 grams lighter . . They are but they arnt they act like they are for acceleration but act like they are equal weight for top end. Sliders are an awesome design. Glad your set up is working well for you. _________________ Darren,

Too much power is almost enough!
Getting the sprocket on was really easy.. but I needed a couple extra links of chain to make it work, and now I'm wrestling with a bent support bar in front of the sprocket that's causing some problems on jumps. But at least I can go camping again... this machine really sucked at first. Started thinking I wasted money, but the sprocket and sliders TOTALLY changed my opinion of this little 150. Not quite satisfied yet though.. (not sure if I ever will be)
I got the back light connected, but not working properly. The light is apparently only a tail light, not a brake light, so I'd have to do some experimenting to make it work with the brake. As it is, the little skull lights up only when the main lights are on, but that's fine for now. Tinkering job for the future.
Since then, I had to change my intake manifold (never sheltered the buggy all winter, so a lot of deterioration and vaccuum leaks everywhere.) Changed throttle and reverse cables (one snapped), replaced rear brake rotor and pads, added some body panels up front for show and to keep a little water off my legs, and added a couple other little skulls to dress it up (it's our town logo).
I'm dying to gut the exhaust, add a uni and rejet. But my wife is getting really sick of hearing me talk about the buggy more then about my own children...
But so far the buggy is cheaper and easier to maintain

lol... i try to include everything!! gas mileage, fun factor, ease of use, KID friendly... yadda yadda... but great news on your end with the sliders and all... When I added sliders to my buggy, I couldnt get it to go 30mph... if you are topping out at 40, you got it awesome!!!! I guess my stock 32T sprocket is holding me back a little in the long run... but I got my baby tuned in pretty good so far...
