Hi

I have just taken delivery of my new buggy 1100cc superbyke(dazon)..I can't drive it yet as i'm still waiting for the tax disc to be delivered...(a little frustrating)..any how I was checking over the bug with it running & noticed when the engine got hot only one of the cooling fans kicked in,I checked the following fuse, ran the fan direct from battery (which worked) swapped the wires over..swapped relays..just cant think what to check next..I thought that only one would kick in & when it got hotter the other one would then kick in...what do you guys think.I have added some pictures below.

Thanks
Kicker

No call today. Who would have quessed? This buggie is a load of fun, but i regret the day i first saw it. I'd love to sell it and wait for someone who knows what they are doing to come out with a more reliable machine. Honda,Can-am, or even my retarded,one-eyed, one-armed cousin. If you'd like a list of the design flaws and poor qaulity hardware let me know, i'll set aside an hour to post it.

Hi

No luck from this end yet...im still waiting call backs !!

Have you ever seen both fans working on your buggy at any time ?? I still think that one works when it gets to one tempreture..then when it gets hotter the second one kicks in ?

Fingers crossed this prob will get sorted.

I believe in the 1st 50 miles i saw the 2nd fan [passenger side] run 1 time. The main fan runs most of the time and about 1 min. after shutoff. I'm afraid i'm going to cook the motor, so until i can sort this out, i'm not mobile. For the last 2 weeks i've had contact with the US importer, and i'm still trying.

That sounds counterintuitive. I know how to test for that but once you hit the "RED" ,how long before it's cooked if the fan has a malfunction? At $10,000 for this toy, thats scary.

The tech guy told me to just wire both fans through one relay.WRONG. The 2nd fan does come on at 100 degrees celcius. Just before the red. I wired a switch on the 2nd one so i can turn it on when want. The 1st fan still comes on at about 80c. The relays should sealed with silicone, there is water getting in.

Very nice looking buggy! Gotta ask what's up with the springs, though. They're dual-rate but with the buggy sitting there empty the tender spring is already squashed flat so in use you're only feeling the main spring. Am I missing something?
