Has anyone rode the Royal Blue twra trails? I am wanting to now the condition of the easy to moderate trails. My wife is planning to go with me, so I can't do anything to extreme.

When are you planning to go? Maybe some more people can meet up with you. Where are you from?

I listened to the radio broadcast and it sounds great. But, can someone give me a first hand experience of what to expect?

Rockrunner, I live near Cincinnati, Ohio, about 4 1/2 hrs from Royal Blue. I am unsure what weekend I can go right now.

Luke

Are you talking about ATV riding on the trails or taking your buggy, I was there for January for three day and went 90 miles. I took my buggy but it stayed in camp other than one excusion up a steep hill. This is atv riding only at royal blue, a buggy will not make it.

if you have a stock 150 buggy, RB will be a challenge. but with the right mods or more HP or cc's, go with the easy to light moderate trails and you shouldnt have any problems. of course some moderate to extreme trails, no, a modded 150 will not make it. also some trails are kinda narrow for a larger buggy. but, there are many more trails systems in tenn and ky that you can ride a 150. but i would mod the 150 anyway.

Thanks for the replies. You guys have me about talked out of going! I don't know if my buggy will do it!
I have a Howhit 150 with the usual intake, exhaust, and CVT mods (1500 lb. spring, 10 Gr. rollers, heavier clutch springs). I also have geared it down with a 36 Tooth rear sprocket.

My plans are to ride double (325 lb. total). Nothing extreme, just some smooth trails with your occasional obstacle.

I have owned ATVs and rode at the Hatfield McCoy trails, I am looking for something similar in trail conditions, that will allow buggies.

Thanks, Luke

there are other alternatives. Brimstone in Huntsville. it's about 20+ miles from RB. they have some pretty easy trails. also, Black Mtn in Evarts Ky. some easy trails there also, and it's FREE there. with the mods you have, you should be alright with the EASY trails, but that's about it, riding double. good luck and let us know how to do. if you need any contacts at any of these places(guides), let me know and i'll steer you to the folks that can show you good trails you can do. Smile

Thanks, RodeoDuck I was at Black Mountain a couple weeks ago. I started in the Harlan county campground. Trail 45 was way to rough, big rocks the size of 10 lb bowling balls. I went 2/3 of the way up the trail and turned around.

Will the easy trails at RB be this way? How bout Brimstone or Coalcreek? Have you or anyone else rode their buggy at any these locations????

I live 45 miles east of Cincinnati, can someone tell me where I can take a good ride, within 4 hrs from my house????

Thanks for the replies, Luke

a friend of mine used to take his dazon 150/175 up coal creek. lots of rocks there too. brimstone has some pretty good dirt trails. i've not seen them personally, but from friends and pics/videos, it looks pretty good. the folks at the brimstone office is super nice and do anything they can for ya. when are you planning on riding?
