hey guys i have a question for ya on all other joyner 250cc model's do you have to roll your kart to get it to shift in to reverse on mine i do if i have the lever where its soposed to be then i roll the buggy a little bit back wards or forward it clicks in now this is dangerous to me because if you forget to roll it then it pops in at high rpms i was wondering if this was common _________________ 06 joyner 250 sand viper, red metallic....royal purple oil blue clutch spring 17 gram sliders and upgraded clutch

My 150 did that until I adjusted the cable. Might want to check and make sure its engaging properly. _________________ Randy

If it doesn't want to go into gear right away then shift it to another gear, back to neutral, then try again. Always works for me. I never need to roll the buggy. _________________ Question Reality

Yeah the owner manual for the '07 model suggests that you rev, let the rpm go back down and shift. I normally go back to neutral rev then re-shift, so I would say yeah it's pretty common.
atpalmer have you been down to our buggy bash section yet _________________ 06 joyner 250 sand viper, red metallic....royal purple oil blue clutch spring 17 gram sliders and upgraded clutch

That must be common with the hi-lo trans. My Hammerhead 250 is tough to get into reverse, too. I've been doing the same thing, revving it, letting it idle down, and then shifting. Glad to know that's in a manual somewhere. I was afraid I was going to do some damage. _________________ Ron

Just out of curiosity, does the Joyner have the shifter tied into the brakes so that you have to put the brake on before shifting? _________________ Ron
