now that I have the 300cc atv stripped down, its time to chose a frame. I have been looking at 150 frames, and these.
what are your thoughts on these? or should I go with a 150 frame? _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

If you use a 150 frame then you already know where everything runs, mounts, and what size everything you will need. Less fabricating, but less customizable.
However if you went with a frame like the ones above, you can customize it alot more (suspension, rims, tires, mounts and accessories). A bit more fab-ing but you can make it your own.
If I had the choice I would choose the frame above!
Good luck with it either way. Make sure to keep us posted on this new project. I cant wait to see what you do!!! =) _________________ Baja Dune 150

i would say for that kind of power i would want a independent all the way around _________________ 06 joyner 250 sand viper, red metallic..blue clutch spring 17 gram sliders
Something else to just bring to your attention before you decide:
In the frame in the first pic...look close at the front swing arm set up...seems like that would be a really weak point. May have to consider different placement or mounts. Also he has handle bars?!?! Im sure you can change to sterring wheel real easy, but things to keep in mind while looking at these frames.

I ended up buying plans for 3 different karts. I didn't follow any of them. I used them as a guide and made the bends to what I liked. It takes longer to make it up as you go but in the end it is your idea that you are driving around in. Good luck. _________________ Custom Buggy http://www.buggynews.com/topic13417.html

Have you checked out the "Sidewinder" style chassis? They look like a great design, especially if your 300 is an air-cooled motor. _________________ DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!!!!!

I have seen them in action on YouTube. They videos seem come from Austrailia, but getting plans for one here should be easy enough if you like them.
Also try to Google for the Sidewinder Mini Buggy Chassis and see what you come up with. I tried to hit you back earlier but the server for BuggyNews was in low gear and I got so frustrated I gave up for a while. _________________ DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!!!!!
