Kentucky is considering allowing the Zap electric car to drive on many of the roads here. This is because they are offering to build a factory here which will employ 1000 workers. I really think this is going to happen, which will likely pave the way for other low speed vehicles eg buggies and ATVs on the smaller roadways. Heck there is so much ATV traffic on the roads here they may as well legalize it. Here is an example of a ZAP car.

Ew. I'd rather drive a buggy than that thing. Drop the "Z" and insert "Cr" ap Car. Looks like a Tic Tac.

On a different topic, how is that ACE 250 of yours doing briarhopper? I thought for sure the Carter version would have been out by now.

Crap car that funny Razz I wouldn't want to ride in an electric car called zap anyway, not exactly a safe sounding name. I can think of some great car names for electric cars how about lightening or the executioner Smile
The ACE is doing great. It gets around 40 in the flats and climbs stock better than my modded 150. I really like the gearing overall, but it needs a better clutch, won't stay locked up long enough. I also have changed the seats out as they are crap. I have been waiting for that 250 Carter too. I will be in the market next year and it should fit the bill nicely being narrow and such.

What is the planned price for a ZAP?
Not sure about the three wheels though. If BIGE sits down in it, will it tip over? Shocked

I don't really know the weight limit specifications of this particular model, but the online price is right at 11,000.

BH, you're right! I checked it out myself this morning. $11K for an enclosed golf cart??? It'll sell though. I like the sporty one for $32K, but common sense tells me to keep on driving my old suburban. Its paid for and I can buy a heck of alot of gasoline for 32thousand dollars! How about you? When will you be driving a ZAP?
