Sanctioned Mini Buggy Racing

I have a Joyner 250 and want to do more than just ride. I've seen info from the MBRA but it appears most of the racing is back East. I know a CA racing league is in the works through MBRA but no details on where or when it will happen. I was looking on line and found a racing series out of California City that includes trophy carts but no mini-buggies. I would like to approach the organization that runs the events to see if they might include mini-buggies in next years racing series.(Maybe even multiple CC classes). Is there anyone in the SoCal or CenCal area that would be interested in jumping on board? If you are it would lend a great deal of weight to my conversation. If it is ok, I will give the name of the organization in my next post, so everyone can check them out on-line. The next race is a night race, and judging from last years pictures, it would be alot of fun.

mitch, check out whiplashracing.com. also, on my show this week, will be clay holt from SEMBRA and i believe that wes from southern thunder racing may also be calling in. wes is out in the western states also. i've also had sean mcdonald on the show(you can download). he has a racing series out in san diego with the mini buggys. the trophy kart series, i believe is just for them and the EBK's. certain rules only apply for them. but you can check them out at CORR. but, log into the show this saturday 8pm eastern and we'll be talking racin.....

It looks like there are other classes involved besides trophy carts. I spoke via email with the guy from altavistaevents.com and he says I may be able to race in the China Lites class. The only problem with that is it looks like they are all 650 and bigger. I still hope there will be more responses to my post so we can put together a larger group of 250s. If this happens we can approach them and request to have our own class. My kids are very interested in racing the buggie. (As am I of course) Especially because it would be pilot & co-pilot. Looks like the rules could follow the China Lites guidlines of the CLRA. Oh well, for now I will wait for a larger response. Thanks for the support Bige and the info Duck.

We would love to have a 150 & 250 class. We currently have two 150cc buggies race ready although we are still working on the track and organization. Check our website on a regular basis as we post more information. The current Super-Kart challenge seems to be plagued by lack of participation at this time so I do not know how far it will go in its current inception. We are hoping as time goes on we can divide this series into several separate classes.

the best advice I can give would be to keep it as simple as possible. that way it stays affodable, and new buggy owners are more willing to join.

i would be interseted in doing that i just got a joyner 250 but im not sure if i can do that yet but i would defintely want to do that

when starting up a racing organization in your region, do yourself the favor. learn from all the others doing this already. contact Tom Stevens at Kidnmekarts.com or kidnme right here on BN.com. He started the MBRA and he can offer you advice, timetables, or anything that can point you in the right direction!!! good luck!!!!
