On my Sunl 150 the lower ball joint comes unscrewed on the driver side, I screwed the stud back in the ball once but it came loose again. How do I get the ball out so I can really tighten it? Or do I have to buy a strut assembly with the ball joints installed already?
dang D-Short i didn't know that piece or stud would screw out of the ball like that.i have had mine off to pack with grease but never notice that.on mine the ball joint sets down inside of the strut and then the strut is crimped down around it.i have herd of jerking the whole ball joint out of strut but never this.
here some thing maybe you could try clean threads up good on stud and in ball with no grease on them. then take some BJ weld and put a (VERY, VERY LITTLE) in the ball threads then screw stud in let it set up. something like that or use locktite is all that comes to mind for me
also maybe you could take a small straight screw driver and sort of wedge it and the ball so you can tighten it.
can't promise you this will work, if it don't i think you will have to get a new strut.
just my thoughts
