Thanks for the information on the tires. It looks like from the catalogs that the only all turf I can get for my current wheels is the rear. If I want to go with f/r all turfs, I am going to have to get new 12" wheels.
On the other hand, the turf-tamers do come in the right sizes for my current wheels, and they appear to be less expensive, but I haven't been able to determine for sure yet whether they will wear OK on pavement. Most of the online information on these tires just states that they ride smooth, and are good for general use. I'll keep looking around.
If I am going to have to get new wheels, I am probably going to need to wait for a while before I do that. _________________ Spyder 250 (KTR-250W, or GK-29)

In general, a less aggressive and more closed in tread pattern will wear better on hard surfaces. The more tire surface you can get on the ground, the better the wear.
There are different rubber compounds that will wear at various rates. On DOT tires, you can look at the tread wear rating but there is no requirement for this rating on other tires.
Keep your tires inflated to maximum working pressure to reduce wear on hard surfaces, but remember that if you have a locked rear, there will be tire scrub every time you make a turn. You will see more wear on all four tires verses having an open differential since the front tires also have to fight the locked rear in turns. _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250
