I just replaced mine with yamaha blaster shocks and the ride is much better. They are 14 inches eye to eye, almost identical lengthwise to the stock ones. I had to grind the eyelets down on each side a little to get them to fit in the brackets, but as fabwork/modifications go, it was an easy swap. When I took off the stockers, i pulled the spring off one and the strut compressed itself by gravity. Absolutely no compression, and I pulled it out with no effort, Absolutely no rebound. I could hardly press in the struts on the atv shocks, and once I got them to compress a little it was fairly hard to get them to pull back out. Not sure if you really care, but It was night and day difference. _________________ If your wife wants to ride your buggy, don't stand in her way!

You measure the shock eye to eye unloaded to get shock size. When you install the shock, ride height may vary on same length shocks due to spring rate. Ideally you want to set ride height and then find a shock that will give you that measurement with the weight you wish to carry and has travel just slightly less than your arms and joints. _________________ 07 Joyner SandSpider 650
