Recently, while riding our Raptor 250, I noticed that it seemed to kick out of gear for just a moment. This happened on flat ground. Then, while trail riding, we had to stop half way up a hill because it quit pulling. I heard it spinning and then it engaged again like nothing was wrong. Any suggestions?
with the buggy in neutral, remove the cable or linkage from the gear box. make sure that its adjusted so that the end goes on the shifter arm on the gear box smoothley.
on some of the gear boxes the shifter arm has a set screw, if that has loosened up the shaft will move past center. _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's, ams (manco) , joyner, parts for almost anything

On the gear box there should be a spring on the shifter arm near the cable. This spring could be weak. Put a helper spring or a stiffer one and should help the problem of it kicking out of gear.
