Not only have I lost this part once - I've lost it TWICE! At least I was smart enough to take pictures. I'm not even sure what the proper name is. Looking closely at the pic of the carb, it appears there was a small piece of metal that held the screw in place.

With the buggybash about a week away I need some help and need it fast!

See pics for details on the screw, spring and washers I need for my HH250 - any help would be greatly appreciated!

That is your air/fuel mixture screw. You need to add some soft thread-lock to the new screw so you do not lose adjustment or the screw again.

Would that be like white plumbers tape or more like locktite?

A touch of plumber's tape might work (I don't know if the gas will eat it up). Use the softer Locktite compounds so you can adjust it later.

As luck would have it,
I just removed my stock carb for a bigger one on my HH250. I can get you the screw parts from it. Give me a call and I can drop it in the mail today and you should have it by Friday.

i think it would work ok i have used the teflon plumbers tape before a several times on carbs were a steal gas line screws into a aluminum carbs to stop leaks and to help on worn threads. i think it would help the screw from backing out.
if that air fuel screw is any thing like the one on my friends buggy its hard to get to and would be lost before you know it.
hope you get her going in time before the big ride.

Thanks to the help of Supersoxy and Kidnme I think we'll be good to go!

Do we have a "Member of the Week" post going? If not we should and I'd put these guys at the top of the list!

I used some regular plumbers teflon tape when putting a new petcock together and the gas did disolve the tape. There is another tape that will not break down from gas. It is yellow in color. Found it at the local ACE hardware store.

Hey John. I forgot all about Reliable gokarts. I like their parts site and have purchased from them. They were pretty decent.
