Hi everyone,

Well like I said, I'm new to karting and all so I'm not sure what I'm looking at. I would really like a quality off road kart to go riding around my acreage. However, my budget is around 2,000 to 2,500 dollars.
I would like it to have full suspension becasue I plan on riding in some bumpy places, and I would like a nice 250cc kart. I don't think 150cc would be powerful enough to go up my hills.
So I was looking at killer motorsports and saw their challenger 250cc kart. I was wondering if that breaking frame problem has been fixed yet, because In their videos, they aren't exactly being nice to that kart. After they were done, the kart looked fine.
So basically, I'm just looking for a good off road 250cc kart.
I saw Kinroad, Dazon, and Coolster. Are there any brand that you would recommend? Remember my budget is 2,500 max. If anyone has a great kart and would like to tell me what type it is I would appreciate it.
Thanks!

You're not going to get a quality 250 with that budget.

Don't count out the 150's if your budget won't allow a 250. With a few mods a 150 will climb any hill you point it at. With just lowering my gearing and putting 9 gram rollers in the variator along with the UNI intake and gutted exhaust my 150 climbs everything I point it at. About the only time I don't make a hill is if I loose traction. Of course mine is geared low and has a top speed of about 33mph.

That being said if hill climbing is a huge concern for you then I'd reccomend holding out for a 250 with the Hi/Low gear box. Don't count out the used machines. There is a member that just sold a Joyner 250 with the HI/Low for $1200. And it looked to be in great shape. The deals are out there on used machines it just may take a while to find one.

Yeah, That's what I was sort of starting to think...
I've sort of narrowed down my choices in terms of quality, reliability, and I was looking at either the
Blade Powersports 150cc DX or the
Kinroad 150cc Sahara

If anyone has any important experiences with either of these karts please post them. I think that both Kinroad and Blade seem to be pretty quality driven companies. Also, if anyone knows any pros/cons for either vehicle please help me out here.

Blades 150dx is a good machine it has lots of leg room. I am 511 and 208lbs, I slide the seat up 2 notches when I get in one. Blade now offers a roadside assitance program that is included with the buggy

Ok, I've just found another problem...
Does anyone know the difference between the Blade 150DX or the 150 SX? It looks like the SX is like 300$ less.
but what isn't included on the SX? I can't find out by going to familygokarts or Blade powersports web site.
