The bad part about going to DOT-based tires is finding sizes that will fit a rim that fits your buggy. Car rims are typically 13" and and larger while buggy rims are 8", 9", 10", 11", 12", 14" and 15".

If you were to buy 14x7 or 14x6 buggy rims with a 3" inside offset, you could go with a 205/50-14 car tire and have about the same height as your 22x11-10 buggy tires.

With 10" rims, you need a 305/50-10, 255/60-10 or 205/75-10 tire.
