Well we took the buggies out camping in Johnson valley & had a great time. I will post a bunch of pics.

But we managed to disable the Dazon with a lost UNI filter & a snapped chain.

The Crossfire did not manage as well, we managed to shatter the entire cage that goes around & holds the motor while losing about 10 inches of the tubing in the process. Will post pics.

The only problem with driving them like you stole them is sionce you didn't steal them you need to fix them later!

I will pickup some tubing & remake the entire engine cage this week but I am looking for some small parts & would like to know where is a good place for them:

2 exhaust seals
2 chains & spare master links ( I don't know what size the chain is?)
The UNI filter I know where to aquire.

Any help would be greatly apperciated!

The single roller chain is either #50 industrial or 530 motorcycle chain. If it is double roller chain, one of the dealers on this site will be able to help you. The exhaust seal can be purchased through BuggyDepot.com

Must be a weekend for carnage!

We took the Yerf out and were going down the levee into the nice sloppy mud.......until we hit a stump hidden under the grass right on the mudline. About 12" around and boy did buggy just STOP! POW! Hit on the right arms and popped the bottom bolt clear out of the front bulkhead the top arm bent back, bent the shock. Worst part was we were stuck on the bottom of a steep levee but luckily the ol Dog was still moveable and we managed to limp up at a lower spot and nurse it home draggin the ground!

Ordered me 4 new ball joints from tjramsey. Gonna have to get shocks and at LEAST a new top a-arm. I may just order the whole new front end off of ebay i see BMIKARTS has them and just use this one for spare parts.

No pics but we do have it on video on my nephews camera he was filming it . Havent looked at it yet we are still sore from the impact. Luckily nobody was hurt except for bumps and bruises. And the pain in my wallet now!

racemybuick:

Here they come!

pghruby:

Thanks! I have to go down the mountain on Tuesday so I will stop at a cycle shop I know of & see how bad they want to ream me for the chains Sad I will order the seals from BuggyDepot.com tonight. I will also pick up some tubing & GUSSETS while down the hill.

Psychotron:

Sorry to hear about your carnage!

I have seen those front ends on ebay & they seem like a hell of a deal for all of the parts you get.

Here are some pics of the trip, I will start with the good pics & the new trailer I picked up. The trailer makes a world of difference when going out riding, this one loads from the rear & the sides with built in ramps which is nice.

You should do the mod upgrade to your A-Arms and put in new ball-joints. The ones at BuggyDepot are the best deal around.

I used to wheel my Samurai at Johnson valley when I was stationed at 29 Palms. Those pics bring back memories. I really miss the wide open spaces.
