I would suggest to all interested to not buy the MRP performance 250 head for your hammerhead. I got it, $250, and compared it to the stock head. Everything seemed to fit and look right so I installed it. After several hours of trying to get it running with no success I realized that the exhaust valve was not closing and that it was bent. I figured that I made an error while setting the timing which caused the damage. I tried to order a new exhaust valve but MRP doesn't sell the valves seperately so I ordered another new MRP head ,$250, and this time took it to a dealer to have it installed correctly. After attempting to get my buggy working with the second MRP head the mechanic found that the head indeed does not fit correctly. The cradles that hold the cam bearing and cam are lower which caused the exhaust valve to hit the piston and scor the cylinder. So now to fix the motor I had to have the cylinder bored to 270cc and install a bigger piston. I then had the MRP titanium valves and springs from the second MRP head install in the stock head and that seems to work. I definately have increased the compression and performance by doing all of this but I sure wish that there was some way to get my money back for the parts that didn't work.

Thanks for the heads up. Sorry for your troubles. Will the place you bought it from do anything to help you out?

so the head does not fit the cf moto engine found in the hammerhead 250, joyner, Blade. looks and sounds like it only fits the cn 250.
