OK, so I had a great Memorial Day weekend of buggying. I must say I am very impressed with the buggy and all the negative talk was unfounded, so far. The only thing that happened was the cooling fans now stay on all time. Before they would come on when the machine heated up and then shut off about a minute after the key was turned off. Now, they seem to go to a slower speed after a minute and then just stay on. The buggy is still under warranty so I was just wondering if anyone else had any issues with this. I am thinking temp sensor? I noticed there is a single pole sensor near the carb that is right next to where a cooling hose comes into the engine. It looks suspiciously like a fan switch. I am guessing if this is the case then the switch makes the ground for the circuit and turns on the fans, but then there has to be something else in the circuit that tells the fans when the key has been turned off to have them run for a minute afterwords. I would like to have them operate normally and not have to put these on a toggle. I have a VAPOR so I can read the temp, but would like them to work automatically like they should. I have attached a picture of my VAPor install just cause its new and thought y'all might enjoy.

That looks like a GK-13B. My daughter just got one. Her fans work like they should except that each one moves air a different way. One pulls and one pushes air thru the radiator. Kind of weird.

Did you have the problem prior to installing the VAPOR? All of the buggies I have seen have nothing attached to that pole. There is a sensor with two wires coming from it on your radiator. Ours shorted out on our GK-39 but did the opposite. The fans would not come on at all.

What has your temp been reading?

It def has nothing to do with the vapor. The fans stay on all the time, they just seem to go to a slower speed when they would normally turn off. If your fans are turning different directions, you should just reverse the wires in the one connector, they should not be doing that. Both fans should be turning the same. I did not notice a sensor in the radiator, but that doesnt mean it wasnt there. The buggy is at the other house so I have no way of looking Sad. Sorry about that.

Yes, they do not shut off. I have to unplug them when not riding.

I believe the temp sensor closes a ground. You may have a short in your ground wire, or a bad sensor. Actually a short isn't really the right term. Your ground wire may have a bare spot on the insulation that is touching the frame or engine which would prevent the fan from turning off no matter what the switch does. Since you say it runs slower when cold it may just be barely grounded. It could also be a bad sender.

This was exactly my thought, just wondering if anyone could confirm. I think I will call awesome buggies and see if they can send me a sensor warranty.
