Just bought a 2008 Joyner Sand Spider, my family and myself very much enjoy it.
I have read quite a bit about the Weber carb upgrade and the turbo upgrade and would like to install one or the other, I can find information about the Weber carb and pricing for it but nothing on the turbo kit upgrade.
Could someone post a link or vendor information as to where I can read up on the turbo kits available for the Joyner SS 650???
I appreciate any help

I also have a 2008 and was debating the same thing about two months ago. I read every forum related to the carb and turbo kit here; called both Fast Freddies (Weber carb kit) and Unleashed Motorsports (Turbo). I ended up flying down to AZ to visit Unleashed where I met Scott (the owner) and test rode a 650SS with the turbo installed. I ended up purchasing the turbo kit from Scott at Unleashed Motorsports and installed it just before heading to Disneyland with the kids. I have not had any time to test it out yet other than a few runs up and down the street. You can contact Unleashed Motorsports here http://www.unleashedmotorsports.net Scott is also on this Forum every once in a while. They are great help on the phone for installation questions. I will be taking the buggy out over the next few weeks so if you want I can let you know what I found stock vs. turbo.

Hello 650spider,
Sounds like we have done about the same research and I have come to the same conclusion, I am saving up for the Unleashedmtorsports turbo kit.
I would be very interested in how it is working out for you; I hope you are having a blast!
How was the install and setup, did they provide the proper jets for the elevation here in Utah???
Does anyone else have any experience with the Unleashedmtorsports turbo kit that they would like to share???

Install was fairly simple. They will provide you with a good installation instruction manual that provides the steps in order with pictures. Overall it took me about 6 hours to install but I did the oil return different than what the manual states (I pulled the CV to drop the oil pan and welded a nut on it). If you followed the instructions it would probably take about 4-5 hours. Unfortunatly I still have not had it out yet other than up and down the street; planning on taking it out this weekend though. I will let you know.
