Ok guys I am adding another to the stable, too many butts & not enough seats.

Which one should I get a Yerf dog 4209 or a Manco 710 both are in great condition & about the same price $900.

I may sell my Dazon single but I will keep the crossfire & get a larger trailer.

Thanks

The Yerf or Dune would be my choice.

the only thing I worry about on the yerf is I know I am going to have to redesign the front end with the problems on the ball joints & the spindles.

Does the Dune have big known problems like the yerf.

At least there are now good quality replacements that should keep a Yerf on the trails for years to come. The rear axle is a bigger concern IMO. There are parts available to replace the weak Yerf original but it's sort of a "do it yourself" project.

Not in normal riding. If you're rough on it you might shear a balljoint on occasion. The fix is to use replacements from the Tomberlin Crossfire which have a thicker mounting stud. You need to re-tap the holes but otherwise it's an easy upgrade.

Find a good used Punisher or Crossfire II and it'll have these improvements already.

I have the dune 150 and I love it. No major problems, just little things that you can make better. Several people have them and seem to like them. Make sure you are looking at the older dune, not the new versions. There are some known issues with the new ones....AKA Reactions.

But I cant say anything bad about the yerf either. 2 of the main guys on this site have them and seem to like them. In fact pghruby's Yerf amazes me, with the hills it climbs!! Shocked

You should look at them both in person, sit in them, look at everything, and compare. Make sure they have enough room for you and your passenger or gear. See which one runs better.
Which one drive better, you know compare!!!!

Take your time, make sure it will work for you and your riding style. Both the karts you are looking at are good. You can mod these things out and make either one kick a$$!!!!

Both the yerf and the dune are nice karts. Stay away from the manco. The yerf has more issues that have to be fixed than the dune but most used ones already have some or all of them addressed. If you are going stock for stock go with the dune.
