Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I bought a Manco Carbide 150cc from TSC last year for my daughter and I. So far I have been pleased with it except for one thing. There's a plastic sprocket that attatches to the DNR shaft of the trans that has stripped the splines and cracked. Therefore, you cannot change from forward, neutral, or reverse. I perfored a field repaier using a hose clamp so that we can continue to enjoy the cart untill I find the replacement part. While I was surfing the net looking for a replacement part, I ran across this site. There's some great info on here, and it's nice to see that the carts have a wide age range of enthusiasts.
I don't have any pictures on this laptop of the cart, but I will get some so I can upload them.

Welcome to the board! I've only recently started enjoying the sport. Where in Texas do you ride?

If you can get me a model# and year of the kart, we can get what you need. If you still have the manual, it will be listed there. If not, check out American sportsworks (Formally Manco) and they have almost every manual online.
Give us a call and we'll get it ordered for you.

Thanks, for all the positive replies. I've been very busy at work this week, and haven't been home much, but hopefully this weekend I can dig out the manual, and post some pics.
I live near Wharton, Texas, and mostly we just ride in my yard (3 acres) but soon we are going to have a get together with some friends and thier carts and 4 wheelers out at Mud Buddies near Halletsville.
Hope everyone has a great and safe Memorial weekend!

Ooo... you'll have to let me know how Mud Buddies is. It would be about a 2 1/2 hour drive for me, but if it's good, I would do it. I look forward to hearing your review when you return from there!

Well, I couldn't find any of the good pics right now, so I took a couple with my cell. First one is the part that is broken on my cart. Manco calls it the "Disc-shift control 150cc part #14479"
Haven't found any prices for it yet.
Also, have to look around for a battery, as mine is no longer holding a charge. I have to jump start the cart for now.
Does anyone know how big (in watts) lights I can put on this thing?? The stock one are pathetic.
Thanks,
KevinD
