when i first got my buggy on the first day i drove it the bolt in the rear brake calaper fell out. it went to the ebrake. i stuck a new bolt in there but there must have been another part that fell out of the hole because it still dont work.
does anyone know where i can get a breakdown of the rear calaper or even better does anyone have pictures of theirs taken apart. i would love someone that had a old one laying around that could sell me the bolt and whatever goes inside the bolt hole where the e-brake cable attatches. if i could just see what it looked like i may could make something to work in there. i refuse to buy a new calaper because the brakes themself work great its just the e-brake. and using a rock under the tire is getting old fast
dang rock bouncing around in the floorpan while driving down the trails is anoying. and im always trying to keep up with that dern rock. maybe i should make a pouch for it _________________ 150cc kinroad gy6, 9 gram rollers, k&n airfilter, gutted exhaust, 30mm carb, racing coil, racing cdi, bigger battery, gates belt, 2,000lb winch, redneck force fed cvt intake
kracker do you still have the bracket and spring that the cable hooks to and the spring helps release the brake after set.

yup i have all that. i just now took the calaper apart and its shiny inside"looks great" but i still can't tell what goes in there for the e-brake to push the piston in. its stressing my out bad.
when you pull the ebrake it looks like its working but its not making contact inside the calaper. something is missing maybe some type of spacer _________________ 150cc kinroad gy6, 9 gram rollers, k&n airfilter, gutted exhaust, 30mm carb, racing coil, racing cdi, bigger battery, gates belt, 2,000lb winch, redneck force fed cvt intake
omg i think you just saved the brake calapers life cause i was about to smash it.
see the bolt with the nut on it?
i put a regular bolt in there ill bet that bolt makes contact inside and thats how you adjust the major part is if you was swapping an old to new set of pads you just run it back up when you put the new ones on to give clearance.
it makes sense now. thank you so much. now if i could just see the other end of that bolt to see how far its threaded. im thinking close the end of the bolt it turns to a plain stud with no threads but i cannot be sure _________________ 150cc kinroad gy6, 9 gram rollers, k&n airfilter, gutted exhaust, 30mm carb, racing coil, racing cdi, bigger battery, gates belt, 2,000lb winch, redneck force fed cvt intake
you will probably just have to play with the adjustment, to be able to set E-brake till it holds good but still the pads not be to tight when release so there won't be a drag on your rotor.
set bolt were you want it and tighten jam nut.
hope that makes since to you.

kracker do you still need my parts off my rear caliper or do you have everything just in the wrong position? ill hold on to this caliper incase anyone else needs some parts off it. _________________ Blade 150DX

i got a bolt i found in there. but i dont trust it and i dont think it will be long enough when the brakes wear after a while. so yes i deff still need the bolt and spring. i may have to look for a spring though since they are strong springs _________________ 150cc kinroad gy6, 9 gram rollers, k&n airfilter, gutted exhaust, 30mm carb, racing coil, racing cdi, bigger battery, gates belt, 2,000lb winch, redneck force fed cvt intake
yeah like i said though i have a jar of springs. i am willing to bet i have the right one. just let me know when you want it. _________________ Blade 150DX

here you go kracker here is the length of the bolt thats in mine
and jam nut set close to were i run it ,that should get you pretty close.
stang you better get that rear brake caliper back on your machine.i would hate to see you leave tire tracks all over one of those muddin bikini girls down at the mud hole, because you couldn't get stopped
