I bought a jug of 75W140 Max-Gear gear lube and was going to change it out. I am going for a big ride on Sunday. I just forgot to get the advice of some of the more experienced folks in here before I bought it for 15 bucks! Thanks. Royal Purple is good stuff, was just wondering about the viscosity of this particular (75W140). It will be 100+ here in about 2 weeks, so thicker is better? Thanks a bunch! Here is a dumb question. My buddy has replaced my gear oil and I am not sure where to put it. I can drain it, but when filling, there is a silver polished screw on top of the gearbox. Is that where I fill? Thanks!
