Yeah, thats what Pud needs to climb the mountains where he lives in West Virginia Wink
BTW, I've ordered the wheel spacers, UNI, intake tube, and 130 jet from BIGE.
Its funny how he's got me figured out. If I even mention here putting some mod part on my buggy he'll call me the next day and say "Hey, I got that part you wanted" and he's got my credit card number commited to memory! One time he even sold me some spark plugs for my Harley, and I didn't even need any. I still haven't figured out how he did that Laughing

i herd that you could ride trees down and keep on trucking Laughing

thats good on bige taking care of you on parts that away your not a looking for them Smile
the wheel spacers are they just for the back to help get those rear tires widen out some, to make it more stable in the turns.
i turned my rear tires around switched sides with them and turn valve stems in and gain close to 3/4 inch that i could tell.i know it made a difference for me.
i'm glad to see your going to get it modded up and ready to roar.will we be seeing some track action from you and ckau on the home track this summer.

My son's 150 came with 3/5 offset rear wheels (not sure terminology is right) with the 5 inch offset towards the frame and the 3 inch offset to the outside. When I had the Swamp Lites mounted on the rims, the tire shop reversed the tread rotation on the rims, which I didn't notice until I got home because they had loaded the tires in my truck. Well I go ahead and mount them on the buggy with the tread rotation in the right direction, and low and behold, the valve stems are on the outside, and I have reversed the offset of the wheels to boot. Didn't take any measurements before or after, but it stands to reason that I picked up around 4 inches in width and no wheel spacers. Sometimes a mistake is the mother of inventions.

Wonder how this happened. Remember where I said I wasn't sure if the terminology was right? Well what happened was that when I had ordered new wheels (rims), the salesman and I misunderstood each other and I received wheels the the offset reversed. I absolutley love the new width. Makes the buggy very stable.

Yeah, this Dazon has the rear wheels you can reverse to get wider and I've done that already, and boy does it help! But BIGE is sending me spacers for both front and rear. My old Talon was a two seater, and although the Dazon (being a one seater) is about 110lbs lighter (therefore 110lbs quicker/faster) it is also narrower and can be rolled over easier. I really like the lightness of the frame but want to regain some of the width I'm used to for stability.

Also too like Pud says, BIGE really takes care of me where the buggy's are concerned. He knows I can get pretty busy here at BuggyNews doing what I do here and he is able to read into my needs and get the parts necessary for me to do my buggy wrenchin', and also give me advise when I need it. He's quite a guy and really has become a good friend. I know the other Dealers here who participate in the forums are great people too, like Tom and Glade for example, I really think they are TOPS! I wish I had the money to buy a buggy from each of the Dealers here (including all I have not named) and just buy mod stuff from each of them every week or so. Life would really be good then eh Wink

My Yerf has 10x8 front rims with a 3" inside offset and I love the stability it provides. My rear track is 4" wider than stock due to the Buggy Depot axle, so I really have no problem on off camber slopes.

The UPS man brought some cool buggy stuff Friday and today Charlie and I worked on the Dazon. First we had to get two of the three calipers unstuck. They were dragging on the rotors bad enough to affect performance and overheat the rotors and pads. The buggy sat for a long time before I got it and I guess it was just one of those things that happens when they sit too long. Then we replaced the 108 jet in the carb with a 130 and installed an intake tube (crafted by BIGE himself) and a UNI airfilter. We finished up by installing the 1&1/2 inch wheel spacers on the front. This widened the front an additional 3 inches. The rear wheel spacers are scheduled to arrive sometime this week. I'll let you know how that works out.
It was so much fun taking a test drive. Just doing the UNI and 130 jet made a big difference in performance, especially without the brakes dragging Laughing And the wheel spacers made a huge difference in the steering/handling. The steering is not at all twitchy like it was without the spacers and the overall handling and steering feel was much better. All this was definetly worth the work and money! The front tire width (outside to outside) is now 53&1/2 inches FYI.
The next thing to do will be installing the rear wheel spacers and changing the motor oil to Royal Purple. The WalMart here where I live sells RP motor oil. I paid $6.67 per quart.
Then sometime after that is installing the Dr. Pully clutch and variator that I've had since sometime last fall. I had originally bought it for the old Talon gx but never got around to putting it on, then sold that buggy. Now I get to try it on the Dazon! That worked out good!
So anyway, thats a little update for you. I'm sure you will be getting more after the UPS man comes to see me again Wink
Van
