Just made the jump from mini's to, uh...a "mini viper" 800. I just got it home and am starting to go over it before the first drive. I am wondering if anyone has any experience to offer about setting it up or issues that may be common.
My impression is that I only have to be sure everything is tight, adjusted and lubed and go have fun.
I will be sure to add any I come accross - just trying to avoid a looooooooong learing curve.
Thanks. _________________ 2008 Mini Viper 800

the chinese battery will probably die in a week or less. beyond that I think your good (in theory) but you never know with the chinese stuff. oh wait I got another... check and make sure the castle nut on the steering rod ends are tight and good cotter pins. to ensure that there isnt a bunch of slop in the steering. maybe a set of limit straps if you want to be extra safe with the axles but Im not sure if thats was even ever a issue with joyners... anyway good luck have fun and post some pics
PS: any idea why its called a mini viper?? _________________ 2006 Roketa 800cc - K&N + precharger, rejetted, manual carb secondary, Desertkart spark arrest muffler, limiting straps, & lots of repairs...
My understanding is in 2007 they started putting the 1100cc engine in what until that time had been the 800cc cart then they put the 800cc into what used to be the 650cc sand viper. Thus creating two different 800cc carts. Those prior to sometime in 2007, the 800cc were larger than the "mini viper" or new 800cc from the point of the swap on. That may be a little confusing, but that was how they explained it to me at Joyner. _________________ 2005 Joyner 650 Turbo
