Im starting to think I might purchase a 23HP twin cylinder at the local hardware store and mod it in. they have a liquid cooled Kawasaki twin complete ready to run with a radiator and electric fan mounted on it. he told me it's been sitting there for over two years and he will sell it for $900 I looked at smallenginewarehouse and 23HP Kawasaki engines are $1600 and up. I bet that motor would pull like 4 gy6 motors.
just don't think this 150cc is going to do it for me. I just really like the reverse, or it would have been replaced after the first ride.
So confused! do I mod it to death, add big bore and crank? if I thought I could even get 18HP by adding the big bore, crank and parts listed below I would keep it just so I could have reverse.
or if I did sell..
What would a new gy6 with 6 hrs on it and the parts below still in the packages/never opened be worth? Prodigy variator, racing cdi, iridium plug, MRP exhaust, uni, assorted jets for tuning, 12g rollers, the 3 yellow 1500 clutch springs and 12g sliders? also have a 16t sprocket. the parts are from Blade.
the only installed parts are a set of 10g rollers, 12t sprocket and the clutch shim I put in. this would all be a package, not parted out.
btw, just to be clear it's not for sale yet, or I would have posted it in the for sale section.
I want fast but not crazy fast, I have an older Manco small tube, no suspension, single seater with a built 480 Phazer snowmobile engine on it and it's too fast and really unsafe, the two stroke sound with the racing pipe sounds good though! _________________ Manco Carbide gy6
