Its been sometime since my last post and want to kind of give an update. I bought a New HH150 from my local dealer in Feb and have been having a ball running all over the farm. I have done some mods -10g rollers, 1500 torque spring and 13/40 grears. My plan was to keep it nice and quiet do to the fact I want to use it for a hunting buggy and for camping. I wanted the low gearing for pulling a small trailer I built for it and be able to have to riders with hunting/camping gear. We done a test last weekend. Loaded the trailer down with our tree stands and bows and a couple of concrete blocks (need the extra weight to simulate a deer LOL) Now the hunters, I weigh 145lbs and hunting buddy 180lbs. We fire it up and headed down the trails to places we hunt and the buggy had NO problems getting anywhere we wanted to be, it done great!!! I would have to say money well spent and alot cheaper than a UTV to boot. Once the little hunting test passed we headed out for some fun and tried to put it up anything that looked like a wall. (Yes we left the trailer off) Although it didnt climb everything we aimed it at it gave its best, the great thing about it is, it only stop because lack of traction the tires never stopped spinning even with two of us.So far it has been very dependable and maintenance has been at low. Im very pleased with the little buggy..
Glad you like the buggy! It seems to me that it could tow a Honda. It actually can! I hooked my HH250 up to my 2000 Accord in neutral to see if it could and she towed like a champ. I wouldn't reccomend that for a long haul, but these buggies are remarkably capable. I live in Arizona, and when I bought it I took it out in the desert with a buddy to experience the capability, basically to see if I could break it. Well, I was out for 5 hours and the only thing that happened was I slammed it into a gully and jumped some teeth on the steering rack. No biggie. Get some good quality tires, and trust me, that will actually make it fel like a better buggy. Cheers! _________________ 2006 HH250

I wish I would have found this group before I bought my first buggy. (250cc Rocketa "titan shaft") Well to be honest I bought it for the kids and kind of took a shine to it when me and the wife would go cruising around the farm and was alot more enjoyable to ride double in the buggy than it was to ride on a 4 wheeler. But the up keep on that one is more than one could want. I still own it and the kids ride the crap out of it. I think after they learn how to take care of things a little better I will probably get another HH for them. OK, I will give them mine and keep the new one for me and mommy (I will take my 13/40 gears from it though) The kids dont think thas fair but as I tell them "Its good to be the King"
I like reading this. You almost never hear the good stuff--only the complaints. The only time many say good things about a buggy is when defending them against a buggy-basher.
So a big THANK YOU for the unsolicited testimonial. _________________ _________________

I think as a whole we are all pleased with our buggies, except when we try to make them what they are not, quads. sandrails, etc. As far as upkeep goes, when I take my buggies out it's usually not a leisurely cruse, the more it takes the more i push. Speaking of pushing how about that Phoenix (Awesomebuggie) video. Where I ride looks very similar to where he was testing. I know you guys back east can't pictue that. Here there is no such thing as mud, just a lot of dirt, boulders, and sand. In Vegas we have to water our catus. To sum it up when I upgrade from the 150cc, that Phoenix is a bonafide front runner.

If you want sand here, go to the Eastern North Carolina. If you want Mud, tight trails, open fields, dirt trails or hills come where I live. What else do you need that's not in NC ?? BBQ, Carolina Blue sky and some Mud with a buggy. Call it a day after that

You mentioned hunting and I wanted to let you know that I just installed a stealth muffler from www.Cabelas.com on my 250. It is very quiet and I did not feel any difference in the power. Just a thought. _________________ 2008 Mini Viper 800
