I am looking to upgrade the stock CVT for more low end torque and climbing power. I am not sure what I need or where to order the parts. Im sure the motor is a GY6.
welcome to buggynews, there are alot you can do to the cvt. the cheapest and easiest to do is changing the rollers, main spring and clutch springs.
what year is your's? if its a newer model it should have the 39 tooth axle sprocket. you can also change the clutch and variator also. _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's Atv's, parts and repairs. accessories for all makes.

I had an 05 talon, it has a 32 ttoth sprocket on it if no one has changed it. going to a 39 and doing the cvt mods will make a big differance _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's Atv's, parts and repairs. accessories for all makes.

What weight rollers do you recommend? I checked your web site and there are different colored clutch springs, which on should I get? Is the 1500 main spring the right one for this kart?
this is what I had on mine, yellow main spring, yellow clutch springs, 9 gram rollers, and a 39 tooth sprocket. 10 gramm rollers work good to. _________________ Blade buggies,Carter buggy's Atv's, parts and repairs. accessories for all makes.

Welcome to BuggyNews and ditto to all the above.
Also ditto on changing the sprocket to a 39tooth if yours is the 32, which was stock on some Carter Talons in 2005.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I just got around to installing the new rollers, main spring and clutch springs today. This does make a difference on the low end torque and worth the little bit of money for the upgrades.
Something I found out the hard way.
If you dont have a torque wrench before you start this, get one, its a necessity!
