No sweat! As I said before, lesson learned. I never doubted he wouldn't take care of it and he is a very nice guy. That's not the issue. As you guys have said, and as I accpeted, he has a great reputation. Hence, the very reason why I went through BIGE to buy the handmade part in the first place! Meaning, my expectation was to receive a quality part with no problems, hassles, returns, etc. I about fell off my chair when I saw the crooked weld. It's not like you couldn't easily tell it was screwy! That is not the issue. We work hard for our money. I have spent close to $2,000 with SYCpowersports in an engine rebuild including Stroker crank, 62mm big bore, oversized valve head (port, polished and milled head), new engine case, 32mm carb, maintenance free High Cranking amps battery, Hit Clutch Kit. Dr. Pulley Variator, Kevlar belt, etc. In addition I've added the performance cam, performance CDI, High output coil, Iridium spark plug, eastside exhaust, Holeshot rims and tires, etc.

So, I have the engine installed and everything ready to run and the carb is too big and won't fit. I am psyched for the weekend to come to have time to install the carb once I receive the riser. I get the riser and am dissapointed. So, I say to myself, screw it! I'll install it anyway. I am not gonna mail the riser back and wait another week. Dig? Because I've waited almost 6 weeks to get he engine back from the rebuild and am plain excited about starting it up and having some fun. Dig? Bottom line: Why send a part to someone when you know it wasn't made well in the first place. I don't want to belabor the issue. What is done is done. Let's move on.

I understand AndyH's position, but I too think it would have been best to take it up the vendor directly first.

Also, keep in mind it's not the fact that there was a problem, it's how it gets resolved that matters.

It looks like BIGE stepped up and did the right thing just like we all knew he would.

AndyH, let us know how the new one looks and works out. Also, it woulbe probably be best if you could send the original part back to BIGE. He'll need to look at it closer to find out what the problem is so that he can resolve it with his supplier.

Hi Eric,

I appreciate you sending me a new one. I received it this morning. I am going to replace the first one you sent me with the one I received today. But, I won't be able to do it until this weekend. I will mail you the original on Monday. I appreciate what you have done. I apologize for jumping the gun on the issue. My intent wasn't to hurt you or your business. I let my feelings get ahead of my decision making. I should have contacted you first. I know you are a good guy and want to do what is right. I am sorry.

Take care,

Andy

thats ok, I had 70 of them made from an orignal aluminum one and its hard to check all of them. I think the secound one will be fine as it looked good and flat on a flat surface. I will be checking the rest this weekend. thanks
