Hey gang,
Still on the learning curve here, so any help is appreciated:

1) What is a "pre-charger"? I just purchased Uni Filters (2") for my 2005/06 HH 250's. Does a pre-charger benefit me?

2) Anyone know how to change the main jets? Going to put on 127 or 130's.

3) Trivia: What is the stock main jet on the 2005/06 HH 250's?

FYI: Big "Props" to Blade Motorsports and McDonough Motorsports for their professionalism and timely delivery of some recently ordered items. You guys rock!

1. I've never owned a "pre-charger" but I believe it is a boot that goes over the UNI filter. I believe it's just more protection from dust and whatnot. If you ride in really dusty areas, I'd say it's a good investment.

2. Changing main jets is fairly simple. Move the front seat forward and take off the headrest. Take off the filter and loosen the clamp on the other side at the intake, allowing the carb to twist. Drain the fuel out of the carb (back off the screw on the underside which then allows the fuel to drain out that black hose). Tilt the carb so you can get to the bottom screws. Remove those and then remove the bottom fuel bowl. The main jet is right there. Swap it out, put it all back together. Don't forget to tighten the fuel drain screw. You can take the entire carb off if you want, but it's not necessary.

3. Stock is a 108. I ran a 130 on the stock carb after I installed the UNI.

what supersoxy said, also be careful when you pull the fuel bowl. the needle that holds the float in likes to place hide and seek on the floor

Thanks Guys,
I'll follow your instructions and tell you how it goes with regards to the jets and new UNI filter.

Just put on a Dr. Pulley Variator today (more aggravating than I had thought). Turned it on and sounds like "pinging". Re-opened the CVT and now I can't get the variator fan off.

Almost impossible to use a torque wrench on the Boss Nut on the Variator Fan on these HH 250's. Maybe it's just me...

www.kidnmekarts.com just put some how-to videos on doing the rejet, Tom also tells you how to gauge whether or not your new jet is the right one after you ride it a bit.

Its usually a nylon sleeve that is the same shape as ur filter. Keeps dust, slit, and even some water out of ur filter and engine. cheap and keeps your filter from getting really dirty. I use them on trucks in the mud. good investment if you live in the mud or dust.
