I suggest you look at the following trailers from Harbor Freight:

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=90154

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=93747

Regardless of trailer purchased, I do not suggest exceeding 60 mph when towing. In an emergency maneuver, additional speed may be the difference between having a close call and being another statistic.

so all you would have to do is put some 2x4s on the bottom of that trailer or what?

because i was looking at that one, but reconsidered because it didnt have a tailgate to drive your buggy onto it with

The ones without tailgate will tilt and you can drive up on them. They sit low - I put one foot on the back of my Yerf and pull back to pop the front end up of my buggy on to the trailer. Then just roll it forward and lift the rear up. I rarely even bothered to tilt the bed since it was so easy. You could also use two 4' 2x6 planks as ramps if you do not feel comfortable driving onto a tilting bed.

so to make it legit all you would have to do is lay a bed on 2x4s on the actual trailer?

WHat about putting some bigger wheels on the trailer you have? Might have to fab some new fenders but thats easy, you can even buy them too.

I would use 3/4" or 1" plywood for decking. It will weight and cost less than 2x4s. Make sure you weather treat both sides before you screw it down.

If purchase a trailer that has to be assembled, the most important part is make sure it is square before you tighten down the hardware and decking. The easiest way to do this is to measure diagonally across the corners. If both diagonals are equal, the trailer is square.

When you are wiring up the the trailer, purchase enough split loom to cover all the wires and tie it down every foot. This may seem like overkill, but you will not have to touch the lighting again except to change bulbs.

I dont think i can use this trailer, not big enough. so im going to cancel the idea of gettin a flat trailer and just buy the one with small tires and maybe get some new bigger ones.

pghruby, ill keep those things in mind

My cousin has one of those trailers from Harbor Frieght. I'll just say that I wouldn't buy one. It's low grade steel with donut tires. For just a little more you can get something that is built much better. My $.02.

got the trailer and assembled it..looks like they measured the width from the outside of the axle..in other words it is not wide enough..so i think im going to weld some steel to the sides and exted it
