I opened the CVT in my Reaction 150 today just to see what was inside. I found the belt to be in good condition after 6 months. Took the driving pulley off to look at the rollers. I found that all 6 had flat spots. My question is: can you replace the rollers with sliders? Are sliders better? I have 10 gm rollers on this buggy. The buggy runs just fine even with the flat spot on the rollers. What to do?

to answer your first question yes you can replace rollers with sliders i replaced my rollers in my hh250 with 21g sliders and am very happy with it so far as for your second question id say is a matter of opinion the reason i went with sliders was they are supose to last longer (they are already flat so no flat spots ) and the consinsis is they are edual to rollers that are 2g lighter without as much top end lose you may want to ask someone the weight you will need for a 150 and while your in the cvt you may also want to put a tourgue spring in the clutch those 2 were my first mods and truly my buggy was a different animal afterward

Thanks for your input. I have heard that changing from rollers to sliders calls for a 2 gm increase, so I think you are correct there. While I had the CVT apart I also changed the big spring in the rear pulley and also changed the clutch springs to what was advised by Eric. I will order some sliders on Monday and try this out. I have heard (besides from you) that this small modification makes a big difference in the performance.
Half the fun of these buggies is changing things to make them better.

Thanks again,
Frank (Alzwel)
