Just picked up a Kasea Explorer. This thing is big. fills out the whole 8' bed of my Dodge Ram. Single seat mini buggy with independant suspension on all 4 corners. 4 wheel disc brakes. 1.5 inch tubing on the frame. Its built really strong but has a Kymco 250 drivetrain. At just over 900 lbs it is not fast. Manual says top speed is 50. It has a broken gear in the final drive and the importer says there are no parts available for this 2005. Still drives but make a lot of noise. It has less than 100 miles on it. Factory tires are still new. It broke just after original owner bought it and the dealer went belly up before repairs could be made. Anyone have any ideas on conversions that don't cost an arm and a leg? There is enough room for a 2 cyl 4 speed from joyner or roketa. I have no problems fabricating mounts but need to find a engine/trans combo that spare parts are available for. Do not want to convert every time something blows up.
if this is a true KYMCO engine, any KYMCO dealer can get parts for it, I am a dealer for KYMCO, if you like, feel free to call me, m-f at 1-800-769-2315, and ask for Steve. _________________ built 90 yj, 07 carter 250
I believe they used to sell the same buggy as the "navigator". They don't anymore of course, but may have leftover parts. _________________ 05 Jehm Adventure Buggy 250cc, Torque Spring, 22.5gr Rollers, Modified Roll Cage, K&N, 21x7x10 & 22x11x10 Trac Star Radials, Vapor, Body Panels, 40T Spkt
