I'll bet Brody is getting more excited by the day _________________ DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!!!!!

He is pretty excited. Still not sure on a color yet. Brody wants orange, I was thinking more like a dark metallic maroon. If he wants orange... It is his. _________________ Custom Buggy http://www.buggynews.com/topic13417.html

Good news is I did get the caliper mounted and the new throttle cable is installed. (Thanks Eric)
Bad news is it won't start. It was fine last time I tested it. Turns over, has spark, getting fuel to the bowl, and it even starts with starting fluid momentarily. Just a minor set back for now. I'll gat back at it today before the race comes on. Go Jr.

Good color choice! If Brody likes Harleys, tell him the Harley Davidson Factory racing colors are "Orange and Black". He might like that, and you could make that work very easily. _________________ DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!!!!!

I killed myself for about a half hour one day after the buggy sat for a couple of months and evap all the fuel out. I'm sure its a dumb ques for you Jamie, but did you open the drain screw til fresh gas flooded out?
Yes I did drain the bowl. Here is what I came up with today. After trying so long to get it started I killed the battery. I hooked up my charger and set it to start. I kept trying with no luck. The starter was getting so hot that I could barely touch it.
I figured I would take the carb apart. I found that the pilot jet was clogged, couldn't even see through it. I thought that was the problem. I bought a new battery and I put it all back together excited that I found the problem. NOT. Now it seemed like the new battery was dead, barely even turning over the engine but it had a full charge. I tried the battery on my 350 and it started right up. Now all it does when I try to start it is "CLICK" from the solenoid. I put in a different one and the same thing happens. Is it passable that the starter shot? How can I test it?
Worked all weekend on it with no luck. What a waste of a weekend... _________________ Custom Buggy http://www.buggynews.com/topic13417.html

Not sure about the test. But my vtwin has the same issue. Battery is currently too small to turn it over sometimes. I've basically found that if the valves are closed, it just clicks. If I reach back and spin the comet 1/4 turn, it will fire right up. Need to get a bigger one and not looking forward to refabbing the batt box. Seems like I just got OUT OF THE GARAGE!!! _________________ Transformed VTwin Kinroad Boxer
If the starter is out, just hook jumper cables directly to
the terminal on starter, should zing right over, if not,
starter probably burnt up. _________________ 05 Blade SX-550 Suzuki
