I have been mulling it over for a few months now and finally broke down and ordered a Titan Plus from awesomebuggies. Just my attempt at humor. You could say what I did about any of these buggies. Just wanted to get him ready for the battle of keeping some of these running. Hope everything goes well on your new buggy. Van

No worries Van. I talked to awesomebuggies today and they said I should have it Friday. Sooo, I will throw it together over the weekend and post my impressions as long as I have time.

Finally got my Titan today. Hopefully Saturday I will put it together and share my thoughts. So far, it doesnt look so bad, except the bottom of the engine seems very vulnerable, but then again, I guess it will have to stay running before I can bash the crankcase on any rocks! The box/crate it came in looks real funny in the back of the dodge.

So I got the Titan together on Saturday, and I must say it is not as bad as everyone led me to beleive. Yes, some stuff was loose, but thats an easy fix. The tires came with 20 pounds of air in them and I forgot to check them so I was dissapointed with the ride quality when I first took it out, but that was an easy fix too. Yes, the coolant overflow tank leaks a little, but antifreeze washes off. Other than that, no complaints as of yet. The turning radius is horrible as expected, but this is the plus with the bigger front tires and I dont think there is any room for the steering mod because the tires almost hit the frame already. I guess I could make some wheel spacers and then to the steering mod, but that might expose the calipers too much. It seems to me that the motor makes alot more power than is getting to the ground. Having worked on snowmobile clutches for years, I am familiar with this type of setup. It seems to me that the driven clutch could come in alot sooner. Not sure how to do this yet, need more seat time to confirm. I would not want to raise the engagement of the drive clutch at all, the motor seems to turn plenty of RPM at slow speeds, almost too much if you ask me, but again, more seat time would help with this. it just seems like it makes alot of noise and vibration and doesnt really do much. I think the power is there, and just not getting to the ground. The seat brackets didn't line up great but nothing a hammer couldn't fix. In the coming weeks I should be able to get some more seat time and really see what I like and don't like. Yesterday I just really had time to put it together and take it for a quick test ride. But overall I am happy so far and look forward to having some fun. I would like to add a tach and speedo, anyone have any expierience with this?

Looks like a nice buggy and a nice pond there by the cabin.

Where are you located?
Send me a PM with your email address and I'll get your account setup on northeastbuggy.com. We're just a group of "local" people that like to buggy around when and whereever we can.

Nice looking ride...

Thanks Chris. I live in north Jersey. I will do that. Also, a big thanks to Eric from Mcdonoughpowersports BIGE. I spoke with him this morning and he set me up with some springs and rollers 15gram, to try and get this thing moving, very helpful and highly recommended!
