Any suggestions on a good paint, the paint is beginning to peel in places. I don't want the thing to rust out.

You will need to get the Dupont automotive paint preferably base coat clear coat along with a good epoxy primer, and you will also need to prep the paint that is sand really good with say 180 gritt wet dry sand paper. You will sand it wet using a bucket of warm water with some dish soap in it this will really save on the sand paper and clean the surface really good, and you will need some metal prep for the bare rusted metal if any.If you only have a few small rusty spots than a rust converter can be used after sanding the rusted spot really good with 80 grit paper. When sanding you want to sand out all highspots until the paint is a uniform satin color when all paint residue is removed and is dry.If you get really particular on the prep, use the dupont paint preferably the two step base coat clear coat, along with a top shelf epoxy primer it will be time consuming and a bit costly but it will be the last paint job you will do.I had done this to my Blade not cause I needed to but because I wanted something different over two years ago and with hitting all the heavy brush and skimming stumps under the kart the paint is in excellent condition. But you have to be fussy with the prep and use top shelf paints because if you skimp on either you will be in the same boat in 1 to two years and less if the cheap paint is used. And what is neat about painting the kart is you can go with any color but it is advisable to stay in the same color range, adding a pearl to it or going with a candy apple color scheme and have something like no one else, and it helps if it is ever stolen.
