Has anyone out there heard anything about this buggy?
It sounds like they're heading in the right direction.
300cc 25hp, hi-lo trans, under 60" wide, long travel suspension, independent rear, posi diff, 25" tall tires and under $4k.
I sold my Crossfire and got a 400ex for a little more wow factor but I miss my buggy. This has all the stuff I would look for in a buggy.
The pics are supposedly of a prototype, not the actual production model.
Thats the kind of suspension we need on all of these buggies. _________________ Custom Buggy http://www.buggynews.com/topic13417.html

Yeah, I agree with the Boss on this one. The front suspension needs to be long travel for people my weight (235lb) and heavier. Even with the heavier shocks/springs I had on the front of my old Talon I was always taking a beating when out trailriding. Also too the front end was always getting knocked out of alignment. Hopefully the new long trave buggies such as we see here will not give that trouble/problem. _________________ DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!!!!!

If it does come in at under 60" wide it might possibly be the best tight trail buggy available. I know Dave and Awesomebuggy said that the prototypes were about 64". Those pictures look pretty wide to me so hopefully they did narrow it some and it's not just a typo. It's great to see that they upgraded to a 300cc over the 250. I can't wait to see how the production models of this one perform.

The spec sheet shows 58.25" wide, 680 lbs, 50+ mph, and 17" of ground clearance. There is no mention of the hi-lo trans.
I'd really like to know if anyone has bought one of these yet.
here's a link to the specs of this thing.
They haven't updated the site about this buggy yet. I'm really curious to see what the production model looks like.
If you have seen the video of the prototype with the 250cc engine and the hi-lo trans the thing climbs like a goat.
If they did upgrade to a 300cc and the long a-arm front this thing should be pretty cool.
As far as quality, if it is built anything like the Titan it should be pretty tough. I've seen some videos of Titans getting snot beat out of them.
One thing that kind of bugs me when I read reviews on some of these buggies is how almost all of them need repaired, adjusted, or some kind of mechanical attention as soon as you get them. I would expect better for the 3 to 4 thousand or so dollars paid for these machines.
I've never heard someone say "I had to fix my Honda/Yamaha/Kawasaki/Suzuki before I could take it out on it's first real off road trip". Although if any one of those four were to actually produce one of these buggies there ain't no way you're going to get it for $4k.
So I guess for the money you save buying a Chinese machine you can stock up on Loctite and get a new battery among other things. _________________ '07 Crossfire 150R - sold

Dave at awesome sure did not lead me wrong when he suggested a Titan Plus for my wife and I. I needed better low end for the type of riding that we do, but he squared us away with great and inexpencive parts and pieces to make a real 250cc hill burner. And my buggy has not fallen apart as some claim. One of the best changes was to set the tie rod ends back one inch for a tighter turning radius.

Our type of riding is far different than the usual and I only have a total of 2700.00 invested. Awesome deal..

I just got an e-mail from awesome buggy.
It is now a single speed (not hi-lo) trans and it is a 300cc engine. They are going to China in 3 weeks and will be discussing other engine options. They said to keep an eye out for their front page for an update.
They also confirmed the width at 58.25"
They have sold some but have not delivered any yet.
Hey oldman, who manufactures the Titan? Has AB treated you OK as far as service? _________________ '07 Crossfire 150R - sold

Titan is a Roketa buggy. Dave at awesome gave me time and respect with every question I put to him. Their service is excellent. I would buy again.
