cn250 with Mikuni Carburetor

I bought a new roketa gk06 from http://www.gokartsusa.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=743

Started driving it yesterday without any problems for 1 hour.
today I drove it for 1 hour and at times the engine would die on me while driving.

I can restart the engine after one or two tries and start driving again.

5 to 10 minutes later it dies again....

when it dies it is like it runs out of fuel..

carb problem? is there any info available on this mikuni carb?

Might be a problem between the tank and carb, make sure gas is flowing from tank to carb, before you tare
into the carb.

Take the petcock off of the tank and make sure it is free flowing. I had the same problem, and pulled out some crud and now it is a-ok! I had no problems when the tank was full, but when it got to about 1/4 it had the problems you were describing.

Thanks for the reply's.

I also think it is the tank, it is still 3/4 full, but i suspect that it creates a vacuum in there since i do not see any air inlet.

I check it later and let you know what i find.

might want to look at the fuel cap. some of the caps need to be vented.

no vent whatsover.
I guess i drill a small hole in the cap
