My sons & I took the buggies out Sun. on a nice ride (part of our planned Easter Ride w/B.N. friends) ended up at nieghbors/ friends place who was having a dirt bike ride (both of us have M/X track in back yard). Not there very long, when friends son Crashed; came up short on a double jump, didnt look too bad, he got up and walked away, But his mother hauled him to emergency Rm anyway... Cat scan shows Broken Neck !!!
Was a bad day !!! #1 vert. split bad & damage to #2... extreme surgery sch. for early AM tommorrow... Im heartbroken for these parents.
I only post this as I want to remind all, whats Most important in Life !!! Dont forget to keep it as Safe as Possible, stuff happens, & cant prevent all Bad things, But we all need to know our limits. Hug your Kids (& loved ones) extra hard, for me/us tonite !!!

Team farm my thoughts, prayers and best wishes go out to the family. I had a national style mx track for years here in Iowa and a good friend and father of 3 lost his life do to an injury sustained on a double jump. keep me informed if there is anything I can do to help. Young Man, Jason is in his mid 20s, recently married w/new baby boy & 2 step children. Wife & I will be joining his wife, and parents, in waiting room this AM, this operation is as scary (maybe more so) than the accident ...

Quick note on Safety... had Jason been wearing one of the new neck braces-Leatt Brace; which many of us on dirt bikes wear, may have been different, less serious injurys.
