Ok against my better judgement I went all out with my sunL 150 today. I hit a tree with the pass front wheel, rolled it on its side, and ran over a huge rock that snuck up on me. The end result is a bent rim, missing splash guards, jacked up steering, and some mud.
The steering wheel is off center, the right wheel points out (I adjusted the tie rod as far as it will go) the steering jerks intermittantly on paved roads, I think I fixed the jerking by adjusting the tire pressure it was set at 15 psi Embarassed spec is 7. I think I may have bent the steering gear. It's not real bad I may let it go unless it could cause damage other than tire wear.
I'm not sure about the bent rim I am a service manager for a Ford Applause dealer and can get it fixed next to nothing, but I don't like them I want something a little nicer. Does anyone know of any good deals on rims. They are 10in. Would it damage the cvt if I get taller tires for the rear?
Here are some pics of the aftermath

Remove your passenger front wheel and check your spindle. It sounds like the spindle is bent causing your steering and stability issues. While you are inspecting the front end, also check your a-arm mounts on the passenger side for damage.

You might check where the tie rod ends connect to the strut, mine sometimes flexes after hard riding and causes the tire to toe out a bit, I jack up the front to take weight off of tire and bend the mount back in place with a large adjustable wrench.
I need to weld some extra supports to these sometime.

Been there done that. I even bent the roll cage. I agree with pghruby, and jessa you have a bent spindle or at least the bracket on the strut where the tie rod attaches is bent. I have to straighten mine up, so I orderd some like the new version that are braced and of course my new ones came in and aren't braced, so I will weld a little triangle in for support.

wow man you put a hurting on the old sunl today Cripple how about your self, also looks like you bent the roll bars and even broke one off at the passenger seat.
i agree with the other guys there on the things to look at.also when i looked at your front end picture it looks like, you might have shifted the steering rack to the right, when this happen was the drivers wheel turned in some to.my steering rack supports are farther apart then yours also i have different lower A arms
on your tire rims mine are 8 inch front and 10's on the back and if you decide to go with bigger tires on the front you might want to do some measuring.
i may be wrong but i think a true 20'' tire is all you will be able to go with, without hitting the frame when you turn the wheels sharp.i was wanting to go with 22'' tires on the front but i don't think they will work.

I am running 22x8-10 on the front of my Yerf-Dog. You need to find an offset rim that will allow the tire to clear. In my case, I was able to use a 10x8 rim with 3" inside offset off a Polaris rear end.

Been there, done that. (couple of times) Look the strut over carefully. If you don't see it bent anywhere, it's still BENT! Look for cracked paint on the frame, especially in the area of the control arm mounts. Don't forget to look above the mount andinside the kart. Look to see if the floor pan is wrinkled where it is welded to the frame. If so the frame is bent. Look for cracked or popped paint on the control arm(s) as well.

Back it on to the trailer so the wider front end does not have to pass the wheel wells.
