I got a one-of-a-kind buggy. It was originally a prototype test buggy made in china somewhere. I got it fully crated up after it was sitting in a warehouse here in CA for over 2 years. (it was imported on accident by the company my sister works for and they didn't know what to do with it...until I took it off their hands) It was pretty much brand new. After lots of research, etc. I found that it was a Polaris Predator 500 clone engine (made by Fuji Heavy/Subaru) with a 5 speed + Reverse tranny. I have been buying Polairs parts for the engine for upgrades here and there and going by 2006 Polaris Predator specs and everything has been working out. I put a Big Gun exhaust system on it, jetted the carb, run Polaris synthetic oil, installed a K&N intake system, re wired the whole thing, (pretty much all the "made in china" buggies have pretty sloppy wiring and that bugs the crap out of me), installed 2 50w lazer headlights, removed stupid things like the horn, turn signals, plastic crap all around..... replaced crummy things like the plastic radiator overflow with a nice aluminum one...etc. I also made a custom aluminum grille for the front to kinda complete the look, it seemed like there was too much of a gaping holle. All in all it rides pretty nice now. I recently broke the chain while doing a hill climb so I got a x-ring high tensle strength chain and a 12 tooth sprocket in the mail from sprocket specialists (instead of the factory 14 tooth) so I can climb faster. I can drop the clutch in the street and do a nice burn out and climb pretty much any hill at the dunes....
heres a couple photos and a little video for you guys to enjoy! I look forward to talking with you all about our fun little toys!
Looks like it really hauls - whats the top end speed? _________________ Twister Hammer Head 250 - 2006

With paddle tires yes. With dirt knobbies I need to be winding out 2nd gear before I start the climb. I'm sure it will be different when I put my new sprocket on today.
Okay, I have to know... Do you eat cat meat, or am I just misinterpreting your screen name?
That buggy looks sweet. I've always wondered why there aren't more small buggies powered by high performance ATV engines. You can easily get 45-50+ out of a very lightweight, compact, water-cooled engine. _________________ LJ Tech 1100cc Sand Sport -- Working the bugs out...
