That's a really good design for the rear end. It looks like it has an eccentric bearing carrier to adjust chain tension just like a Honda ATV. If I could have found something like that, I would have bought it. You can get a ton of hop-up parts for the Polaris engine, and it's already fast out of the box.
Tell me more about this chain tensioner...am I missing something, can I adjust this chain tension somehow?
If not there's a company that posted on here that makes a device to help with the torque spring installation. They also make a chain tensioner that may work well for you. Let me/us know and we'll get the tensioner info to you. _________________ Chris Dierkens

You should be able to loosen the center part of the carrier assembly and as you rotate it, should be like a
cam, one way loosens it, the other way tightens it.
Mine, you just loosen the carrier bearings, and slide it
back and forth on slotted holes to tighten the chain. _________________ 05 Blade SX-550 Suzuki

Yeah thats what it looks like! Thanks! I never looked at it that way! On with the 12 tooth!
Now thats how china needs to make these things! I love that thing, manual tranny, chain drive, positive traction and best of all 500cc of thumper power.

DUDE!!!! YOU ARE MY HERO! I've been looking everywhere online to find someone who is making my buggy! Awesome! From that small pic, it appears to be exactly my buggy!

Well I just got off the phone with Yuma Motorsports and they have moved to La Verne, CA which is a 10 minute drive from me! They informed me that they are no longer going to sell the buggies.
I'm waiting to hear back from them to see if I can order parts or literature from them.
The 400cc - 500cc buggy is a good concept. I just wish they'd make one that was solid, fairly priced, and looks good. There's been enough threads about that topic already. _________________ Chris Dierkens
