So what is the purpose of the nerf bars on the sand spider? I was thinking of taking mine off too. Only down side I see is that the bars might protect the side of the buggy from coming down hard on a rock and to keep saplings from springing up after you run over 'em. My spider came with 27" tires. Has anyone noticed any real change in low-end torque or high-end speed going from 27" to 25" or the other way? There seem to be more factory take-off discounted tires available in 25".
Stock tires are 25" for the 650 SandSpider. I haven't swapped out the tires on my Joyner. However when I went from 20" to 22" on my Yerf, I could definitely tell there was less low end. _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250

I'm really considering dropping back to 25s. 4th gear is nearly worthless. Engine really sounds like its bogging bad in 4th and no acceleration. I'm hoping going to 25s might help. Mine did come stock with 27s. 27x11-12 rear and 27x8-12 front. I like your idea of leaving the 27s on the front though. Wonder if it would look strange? _________________ Baja Reaction 150

Mine are on order, so, I'll find out. It will make your front end bounce more since the weight will be angled back - This may not be what you want if you climb steep hills. My paddles are 22" or 23" so this will definitely have the front raised. _________________ 08 Joyner SandViper 250
