I was wondering what type of spark arrestor people are using? St Joes requires them right? I have the baffle/plate type. I have 12 baffles on it and still seem to be down on power. Does every type cause a noticable power loss? Any suggestions other than spending $300.00 on a big 4 stroke quad pipe?
thanks,
Clint
I saw on the St Joes site that ATV's need a USFS approved spark arrestor. I don't think(well Rarely) any of the chinese buggys come stock with an approved arrestor. I would check to be sure before I got there. Does anyone have confirmation of the need for the spark arrestor?
Thanks,
Clint
I have never been checked....no one has ever stopped to look at either my atv or buggy. My brothers ride performance pipes and drilled out pipes all of the time.
Cant guarentee it won't happen

I have a straight pipe on mine, and flames do come out so times, any way to fix it without putting the stock one back on? _________________ NE Gang member
make a larger bore barrel to weld tot he end of your pipe with a reducer... This will create a chamber, and if you are facetious, you could add a baffle in there if you wanted to...
